Invasive Weed Technician / Surveyor

SLS Permanent Recruitment are looking to recruit an Invasive Weed Technician/Surveyor for our Environmental Client. Due to the locations of contracts candidates will need to reside in the following areas:- Chelmsford, South London, East London or Mid and North Kent. Job Description

It is essential the applicant must hold a PA1,PA6 Herbicide/Pesticide Spraying Licence and full Driving Licence.

A CSCS card would help but we can put you through it. Would be prepared to travel up to 2 hours for 07.30-08.00hrs start Monday-Friday, And on occasions will be required to stay away from home when supporting our staff working on sites around the country.

A background in Landscaping, Groundworks or Forestry with relevant qualifications would be an advantage (CSCS,CPCS,NPTC)

The candidate will need to be Self Motivated (as there will be times you are required to work on your own), Competent, Punctual and Polite.

The role would involve making multiple site visits to inspect and treat invasive plants eg Japanese Knotweed

We are based in Swindon, Wiltshire dealing with Invasive Plants, Tree and Veg Clearance on commercial sites but our work takes us nationwide, Northern England, Midlands, Southern England, Wales and London, We require someone who lives in the North/East/South side of London to cover work in that area. And also North and South of London as-well. There will be times also that are work will take you further afield hence the mention of staying away sometimes.

Probation period leading on to a full time position will be offered to the right applicant
