Job Description:

SLS Permanent Recruitment are working with our national health care client to recruit a permanent Occupational Therapist. To apply  please send an up to date CV in a MS Format

 

Role: Occupational Therapist

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Our client the UK’s leading provider of Community Equipment Services, we deliver complete end-to-end services through all stages of equipment provision and recycling.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can help us in our mission to improve people’s quality of life and independence every day.  Our services allow people to remain in their homes, this helps prevent extended hospital stays, allowing the NHS to deliver frontline care where it is needed most.   Our Occupational Therapists and clinical support staff are a pivotal part of the success of the service we provide.

  • Experience and skills of working with a variety of service users across a range of disabilities
  • Experience of working within a health and/or social care setting
  • Experience of supervision of staff
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • IT skills
  • Ability to prioritise your work
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with stress

  • To be skilled in setting up and adjusting specialist equipment

Desirable Criteria

  • Counselling Skills.
  • Ability to deliver training
  • Ability to complete and use spreadsheets (Excel) and other IT based reports
